I could just make some bald statements of fact, or I could present a series of ‘found artefacts.’

Which do you prefer?

To complicate matters not all ILR are rabbits. The ILR has agents and citizens of all number of species.

This is true.  ILR collaborators can be found, but often they don;t know they are working with the ILR.

Lots of other critters live on worlds controlled by the ILR, but the evidence suggests that a. Their conditions aren’t very satisfactory.  And b. Only Lapines can be citizens.

Yeah I misspoke. I meant inhabitants rather than citizens.

Love the idea of artifacts. Great theming.

Thanks for the comments - as a roleplayer mainly myself, I really dig immersive theming, so it' great that others do too.  Watch for the update tomorrow!

If you follow the Albedo Anthropomorphic forums, you'll see that Steve "The Creator" Gallacci is not a fan of this particular artefact.  He feels it's a bit flippant, and much more suitable for the ILR than the EDF.  I'm still liking it, however so it'll stay like this for posterity!

Interesting article, the information/misinformation angle is good and adds some depth to the ACP164 environment.
How do you see the Artifacts being used or integrated into the game?

That’s a great question.  With a long and complex answer.

I really see these artefacts as fulfilling three functions.

1. They add depth and scale to a milieu in which we are creating new legends.
2. They start discussion... even the mythical creator weighed in on this one.
3. They’ll be part of the RPG setting - my goal is to have all the campaign books useful for RPG gamers as well as miniature gaming enthusiasts.

I like it. It reminds me of the Starship Troopers movie.

I can see why SG may not like it much. The ConFed and EDF are mostly well disciplined and their "Motivationals" would be a little more subtle.

I can easily see this as a tertiary world piece. According to his history the tertiaries were more experimental and freeform as some of the after Derzon story lines show.

I'm rereading the comics at  http://www.stevegallacci.com/. He's also uploaded his Refractions stuff which I didn't' even know existed til 10 years or so ago and could never find in print.

I'd like to make something like this "artifact" how do I go about doing that? Sadly the best of my skills are...lacking in construction abilities...

Uhm...where is SG and where's he say he didn't like it?/which forum?

I'm mostly active on FA and I've just started reading his website for the comics...

Thx

Steve is alive and well, and living in Seattle, WA.

There’s an Albedo Anthropomorphic page on Facebook, which we introduced him to, and he posts there occasionally.

Just for the record, since we got that feedback, he gets to see everything we produce befor it goes out.  We don’t always agree, but one of our primary goals is to keep canon.
