In the process of painting the minis at the moment, and was wondering what people were doing to mark squad leaders?

Was thinking of adding some stripes to the EDF helmets (US WW2 army style) but not sure what to do for the ILR - maybe a shoulder patch (as the caps are not universally worn) but what kind of symbol should it be?

There is the insignia on the clear plastic bases available from Sally 4th. Most of the photographs show ILR Squad Leaders with two stripes and the assistant one (sometimes pointing upwards and sometimes downwards),  usually on the left shoulder. EDF have two parallel lines on the helmet for the Squad Leader and a single line for the assistant

Just taken another look at the plastic bases -  looks like 3 “sergeants stripes” for the ILR squad leader and two for the assistant
